We can manufacture stainless-steel wireropes for various purposes by combining many types of precision wires and strand/rope structures. We can also manufacture wireropes with specific properties such as low ductility, high durability and high strength.

Wirerope Includes standard products such as wireropes composed of strand (s) of 0.03mm wires as well as special wireropes composed of strand (s) of 0.013mm ultra-fine wires.
Coated wirerope Wireropes coated with a film of thermoplastic resin (such as nylon and polyethylene) as thin as 0.02 mm manufactured by continuous extrusion molding.
Randics wirerope Composite wireropes manufactured by combining dissimilar materials such as stainless-steel wires, tungsten wires and high-tensile fibers.
Repulse wirerope Wireropes designed to have significantly low initial elongation by unique twisted wires.
R2 wirerope High-durability wireropes with improved fatigue characteristics manufactured by applying coating on the core wirerope.
Spiral wirerope Manufactured by processing a stainless-steel wirerope into a coil spring shape using special forming process.
Endless wirerope Endless-shape wirerope manufactured by using a special process.

 

Structure of stainless-steel wirerope

The stainless-steel wireropes have either a strand-core or a wirerope-core.

  1. IWSC (Independent Wire Strand Core ) : The core consists of a strand made of the same material as the outside strands of the wirerope. These strands are combined in configurations such as 3x7, 7x7 and 7x19. This structure can be used universally as a mechanical element and features excellent rigidity and flexibility. These are used in a wide range of applications, including office equipment, automobiles, audio equipment, interior equipment, and leisure equipment.

  2. IWRC (Independent Wire Rope Core) : The core consists of a wirerope, around which the outside strands are twisted. The core wirerope and strands are combined in configurations such as {(7x7) + (1x9) x8}, etc. This structure is used for mechanical elements that require high flexibility. As durability in the original form is low due to easy deformation under contact stress, it is usually coated with a synthetic resin such as nylon.

The wirerope is twisted in either Z-lay or S-lay. The Z-lay is commonly used.

Standard wire : Coating wirerope

The coating wire/wirerope is manufactured by means of a coating process technology that coats the wire/wirerope with an ultra-thin (2μm to 7μm) film of PTFE resin and a forming technology that extrudes thermoplastic resin such as nylon into a minimum film thickness of 20μm. The coating wires/wireropes manufactured with this technology exhibit a new property that combines the properties of the metallic material and the resin material.
